Walter Howell Deverell
1827–1854
(b Charlottesville, Va., 1 Oct. 1827; d London, 2 Feb. 1854). British painter, closely associated with the Pre-Raphaelites (he was proposed for membership of the Brotherhood, to replace Collinson, but was never actually elected).
