Roy Abell
1931–2020
Painter, printmaker and teacher, born in Birmingham, where he attended the College of Art, 1947–52, winning the Jackson Travelling Scholarship. Was then at Royal College of Art, 1954–7, obtaining first-class honours and a Silver Medal (Painting).
