Painter who was born in Cumbernauld, Dunbartonshire. Studied at Glasgow School of Art, 1973–7. He showed with Scottish Young Contemporaries, 1984–5, John Moores Liverpool Exhibition from 1985, and Inverclyde Biennial, 1986, gaining first prize. Had solo exhibitions at Glasgow Arts Centre, 1983, Transmission Gallery, Glasgow, 1986, Andrew Mummery Gallery, 2003, and BayArt, Cardiff, 2005. Man and the elements were notable features of his output. Arts Council holds his work. Lived in Glasgow.
