Sculptor, draughtsman, printmaker and teacher, born in Essex, but spent his childhood in Sussex. He studied at Bath Academy of Art, 1973–7, then after graduating in 1977–8 worked with the sculptor Barry Flanagan and in 1979 with Robert Baker on conservation at Wells Cathedral. In 1980 as a Winston Churchill Fellow he visited Carrara quarries in Italy to study carving. Back in London, Randall-Page was a visiting lecturer at Brighton Polytechnic, 1982–9, moving eventually to Drewsteignton, Devon, where he established a workshop to handle major pieces of sculpture with associates. He was artist-in-residence, Tasmanian School of Art, with British Council-aided Australian lecture tour, 1994. He had solo exhibitions at Gardner Centre Gallery, Brighton, 1980; another followed at Anne Berthoud Gallery, 1985; in 1992 a major retrospective was based on Leeds City Art Gallery and Yorkshire Sculpture Park, which toured; and there were solo shows at Stephen Lacey Gallery, 1998; Djanogly Art Gallery, Nottingham, 2001; and Natural History Museum, 2003.
