
Painter whose work was reminiscent of the American artist Edward Hopper’s, being concerned with suspended incidents. She was born in London and studied at Ravensbourne College of Art & Design, 1986–7, Coventry School of Art & Design, 1987–90 and Royal College of Art, 1992–4, and was included in Five RCA Painters at Paton Gallery, 1994. Previously had shown at Beaumanor Hall, Leicester, 1991, and Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, Coventry, 1992. Gained a John Minton Travel Award to Barcelona and Darwin Scholarship, both 1993, and Delfina Studios Award, 1994–6.
