Painter and teacher, born in Barcelona, Spain, whose studies included fine art faculty at the University there, 1990–5 (Erasmus, École Nationale Superièure des Beaux-Arts, Paris, 1994); Erasmus, Hochschule der Künste, Berlin, 1996; and her master’s in painting at Royal College of Art under a Bundy, TI Group Scholarship, 1998–00. Marcé also spent time at workshops with Federico Guzmán, Barcelona, 1995, and with Jordi Colomer, Montesquiu, 1996; the Catholic University of Peru, Lima, 1996; Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, 1999; and a Picker Fellowship, Kingston University, Surrey, 2000–1. She was included in Picker Fellows 2001 there. Marcé lectured in painting at Wimbledon School of Art. Group shows included Sala Lola Anglada, Barcelona, 1993; Galerie Gauche, Paris, 1994; Raw Gallery, 1999; Assembly Project, Jubilee Street, 2000; Jerwood Painting Prize, 2001, for which she was shortlisted.
