Artist and teacher in many media who studied at Newcastle University from 1963, taught at the local Polytechnic and lived in Newcastle. He was included in The British Art Show touring exhibition, chosen by critic William Packer and put on in 1980 by Arts Council, which holds Gibson’s work. Solo exhibitions included Gulbenkian Gallery, Newcastle, 1969; Richard Demarco Gallery, Edinburgh, 1977; and Mappin Art Gallery, Sheffield, 1978.
