Portrait painter, educated at Stationers’ Company School. He showed RP, of which he was for a time a member and honorary secretary, RA, RI, NEAC and Paris Salon, where he gained an Honourable Mention in 1938. Imperial War Museum holds his work. Arts Club member who lived in London and was the father of the painter John Codner.
