Painter in oil of landscapes who was born in Brighton and studied at Brighton School of Art and in Paris under J. P. Laurens and Jacques-Emile Blanche. He exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, Fine Art Society, Royal Institute of Oil Painters of which he was a member and Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours. He was a member of the Brighton Art Club and examples of his work are in the collection of Brighton Art Gallery, Geffrye Museum, Imperial War Museum, UCL Art Museum, Newport Museum and Art Gallery and Worthing Museum and Art Gallery. Burleigh died in Hove, Sussex. He was the husband of Averil Burleigh and the father of Veronica Burleigh.
