Artist in oil and mixed media, born in Carrickfergus, County Antrim, self-taught. He lived in London, 1956–61, with frequent periods in Spain, 1960–77. Appeared in travelling Irish Arts Council shows in Europe and America. Had a solo show at Avignon Gallery, 1974, and Kreisler Gallery, 1977, both in Madrid, having an Arts Council retrospective, 1950–80, in Belfast in 1981. Arts Councils in north and south of Ireland hold his work. Was a member of RHA. Lived in Dublin.
