Painter, mosaicist, mural artist, potter and teacher, born in Pará, Brazil. Annan’s initial education and art tuition were obtained abroad. In 1949 she taught at Bath College of Art and she exhibited at RA, LG, NEAC and elsewhere. Manchester City Art Gallery holds her picture Christmas 1944, and she is also represented in public galleries in Brighton and Stoke-on-Trent. She was a workaholic and completed a great deal of public work in the form of mosaic panels, tiled murals and painted murals in London and the provinces, including Ministry of Education, Durham University Library, Bank of England and 70 Farringdon Road. Known as Dodo or Dolly, Annan lived the artistic life in London with her sculptor husband Trevor Tennant. Died in the Sue Ryder Home, Snettisham, Norfolk.
