The Grove Museum opened in Ramsey in 1978. It is a modest Victorian Villa once owned by the Gibb family. Duncan Gibb, a Liverpool shipping merchant bought and developed it as a summer retreat for himself and his family. A series of period rooms house many original furnishings and fittings plus the accumulated possessions of three generations of the Gibb family. A horse-powered threshing mill can also be seen in the complex of outbuildings which served the substantial adjoining farmland owned by the Gibbs.
