Jean Young
1914–1995
Painter in oil, born in London, full name Helen Jean Young. She studied while still at School under Otway McCannell at Farnham School of Art; for two years at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art with Stuart Tresilian; with John Skeaping at London Zoo; and in 1933–8 at Royal Academy Schools, teachers including Walter Russell, F E Jackson and Tom Monnington.
