In existence for nearly 50 years, the Berkshire Yeomanry Museum has amassed a wide-ranging collection of artefacts illustrating the history of the Berkshire Yeomanry since 1794. The Collection includes weapons, equipment and uniforms from the regiment’s earliest days through two World Wars and 21st Century deployment on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Collection is exhibited in a permanent display within the Army Reserve Centre in Windsor.
The Museum's mission is to educate the public in the history of the Berkshire Yeomanry by exhibiting the Museum’s Collection in a dedicated museum, by proper management and care of the Collection including interpretation of material and artefacts, by upholding Berkshire Yeomanry traditions, including parades and public demonstrations, by maintaining regimental memorials, and by publication of articles or images relating to the Berkshire Yeomanry.
The Museum is a registered charity and has been granted full accreditation under the UK Government scheme run by the Arts Council.
