More about

Built during 1627 outside the walls of Barnstaple on the main causeway to Exeter, the Almshouses are Grade 1 listed. The paintings are displayed in the meeting room, as are plans of the Almshouses and photographs dating from the 1900s. The Chapel is furnished to the Victorian era and displays two large painted boards of the ten commandments.
