Ilfracombe Museum has an eclectic mix of local and international artefacts, including natural history specimens and ethnography from South America, an archive of local photographs, and military and maritime history.
Ilfracombe Museum is open to the public every day of the week from 10am–5pm April to October, and Tuesday to Thursday from 10am–1pm November to March. Ilfracombe Museum is situated on the seafront, in what used to be the laundry of the town's former Ilfracombe Hotel. We are an independently funded charitable trust. Our collection of oil paintings is on permanent display in the Maritime room.
