More about

The Centre of South Asian Studies is a cross-disciplinary research centre open to students from across the University and to researchers from around the world with an interest to scholars of South and Southeast Asia. The paintings are part of the Centre’s library collections and archives, which comprise a unique collection covering many aspects of life in South Asia. One painting in particular is from an award-winning artist from Pondicherry, India, who was granted rare access to a South Indian temple and provides an interesting artistic perspective of the stone carvings. The Centre is a private educational institution. If you wish to see a particular painting, please contact the collection.
