More about

Central Museum houses the collections of local and natural history and archaeology. Displays reflect the story of Southend’s growth as a major seaside destination and its rich natural history and fishing heritage. It is the headquarters of the Service, where cataloguing, conservation and enquiries are dealt with. Central Museum is also home to Southend Planetarium, where live presentations introduce you to astronomy and take you on a tour of the night sky.
