Catalyst is an interactive science centre and museum devoted to chemistry and how the products of chemistry are used in everyday life. Our key aim is to make science exciting and accessible to people of all ages.
We have a small collection of paintings that fall into two categories. First, we have portraits of local factory owners, mostly produced when these same individuals were serving as elected members of the Widnes Local Board or its sucessors. We also have a miscellaneous selection of paintings that illustrate some local factory and outdoor scenes.
