David Ghilchik
1892–1972
Painter and draughtsman, born in Romania. He studied at Manchester School of Art, 1907–15, where his wife Josephine was a fellow-student of Adolphe Valette, then he attended the Slade School of Fine Art under Henry Tonks and Ambrose McEvoy.
