Lucy began the National Gallery Curatorial Traineeship with Art Fund support and the assistance of the Vivmar Foundation in September 2015. Her project has focused on the research and display of Old Master works in the Ferens Art Gallery collection, in particular, Pietro Lorenzetti’s gold-ground panel painting Christ between Saints Paul and Peter (c.1320) acquired in 2013. Lucy curated the exhibition ‘Pietro Lorenzetti: Siena to Hull, A Masterpiece Revealed’ at the Ferens which saw the panel unveiled, alongside rare early Italian loans from major UK collections, for the very first time.

Lucy studied History of Art at the University of Warwick and completed the MA in the Arts of Florence and Central Italy 1400–1500 at the Courtauld Institute of Art. She previously held positions in the Programming Team at Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park, Warwickshire.
