Kristina Royer is the Collection Development Manager at Edinburgh Printmakers and Archivist at Glasgow Print Studio. With a background in printmaking, curatorial practice and museum studies, Kristina enjoys creating conversations around printmaking and the environments in which prints are made. Her research explores the role prints have had in various activist movements from the 1960s to the present – and the dichotomy of printmaking as both a formal fine art medium and a less formal means for dispersing subversive ideologies. Her background in community-based public art practice feeds into her ethos of accessibility and engaging with new audiences.
