Harriet Baker is a writer and critic. Her work has appeared in the London Review of Books, the TLS, Apollo, the Financial Times and frieze. She has contributed essays to exhibition catalogues, most recently to 'Margaret Mellis: Modernist Constructs' at Towner Eastbourne. Her first book, a group biography of interwar women writers who lived in the country, is forthcoming from Allen Lane.
