Dr Eugenia Russell is a musician, historian and publisher who has written and edited several books and articles on early modern cultural history. She has also written essays on poetry and music including on John Keats, Gerard Manley Hopkins, the war poets, Ernest John Moeran, Ivor Gurney, Felix Mendelssohn, Charles-Valentin Alkan and Igor Oistrakh. Her writings on Greek culture include pieces on Mikis Theodorakis, Giorgos Seferis, Kostas Karyotakis, Ntinos Christianopoulos, Romos Philyras and the Philhellene photographer François-Frédéric Boissonnas.
