Emma is Senior Curator at The Box, Plymouth, where she leads a team of collection curators working across varied disciplines. Emma also has responsibility for The Box’s fine art collection, which is displayed at The Box, Mount Edgcumbe, Port Eliot and other regional sites.

Emma has curated exhibitions drawn from The Box collection (formerly Plymouth City Museum & Art Gallery), including 'Family & Friends: Reynolds at Port Eliot', 'The Influence of Italy', 'Women in Art' and 'New Light on Newlyn'. Her research interest centres on British eighteenth-century art with a particular focus on the early career of Sir Joshua Reynolds.
