As Art Fund Curatorial Trainee to Bristol Museums and The National Gallery, Emma Meehan researched and curated Bristol Museum & Art Gallery’s bicentenary exhibition 'Opulent Origins: 200 Years of Displaying Fine Art'.
Emma is passionate about fostering local participation and engagement with museums and heritage venues. She seeks to communicate creative visions to as many audiences as possible. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2021 with an MSc in Modern and Contemporary Art practice, and in 2020 with a BA in the History of Art and Architecture from Trinity College in her hometown of Dublin.
Her research interests are varied and include the visual culture of nuclear weapons, representation of ‘disabilities’ in Western painting, and court portraiture. She also pursues her own creative projects in writing and painting.
