Ashley Davies is a freelance journalist who writes about everything from visual arts and theatre to comedy, podcasts and music, and has regular pages in The Times Scotland's Alba and Metro. She grew up in hot countries with an ever-present smell of turpentine, and lives by the sea in North Berwick with three humans and two cats.
