This bust possibly shows Rosalind from William Shakespeare's play As You Like It, disguised as the male shepherd Ganymede. It is signed on the back of the left shoulder: ‘J. Mossman Sc 1877’ and may be the marble bust entitled Rosalind that Mossman exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1879 (no. 1497).
