The Oxford Almanack, published annually by the University Press, always appears with a commissioned head piece. The works on which these images have been based tend to be done in watercolour or bodycolour on paper. This view, painted in oil on canvas, represents a corner of Wytham, a village north-west of Oxford. It was reproduced as the Almanack for 1975.
