Steel railings comprising six panels fabricated by Frodsham blacksmith Chris Doughty, using a mixture of profile cut and forged elements. Diane's full-sized drawings provided the pattern for the artwork. The scenes relate to Runcorn's history, particularly in relation to the River Mersey. The scenes include: Aethelflaed in 916 AD, Runcorn Spa in the 1830s, Mersey Flats Railway Bridge in 1868, and the Manchester Ship Council Transporter Bridge.
