A two-dimensional sculpture consisting of three main sections. From left to right the sculpture contains a piece of green oak with a polished soapstone stylised bird moving off the edge. The middle section is of unpolished grey soapstone, with a polished bird, and an engraved and polished wave motif around the edge. The right section comprises a grey-coloured wood panel with two soapstone runners, and a bird-shaped piece of grey soapstone lying on them. The shape of the whole piece gives the sense of a wave (tide coming in) carrying an abstract bird up the beach, depositing it and rolling back.
