Statue of Lord Provost William Chambers on a red sandstone ashlar base with low bronze reliefs depicting Literature, Liberality and Perseverance. The base has advanced, scrolled, margined corners framing decorative panels on the sides, with a corniced, garlanded, upper pedestal supporting the statue above.
