Recto: Ink and graphite drawing of Wemyss Castle. The castle is an approximately square building with windows at four storeys on the left-facing wall, and irregularly-spaced windows on the right-facing wall. There is a balcony with balustrade between the second and third storeys and a low semi-circular tower at far left. The castle stands on a mound, with part of a wall built into the base of the mound at the front. A low wall also extends to right of the mound, with castellations visible above. There are trees in front of the mound, to either side of the castle.
