A polished granite plinth with moulded cornice. The pediment on the east face is filled with carved thistles with an inscribed bronze plaque below. The ogee finial supports a bronze figure of Saint Andrew. The work presents the names of the dead of First World War, with those of the Second World War added later. The work stands on a low, wide platform of polished Caithness slabs with a polished granite border. It is approached by low steps separated from the adjoining road by a low coped rubble wall.
