A large, distinctive, stone war memorial with battered pedestal with banded rustication to corners, surmounted by a statue of standing soldier in battle dress holding a rifle. It has a square-plan plinth, with a concave chamfered base and a pedestal with inscription plaques to each face and decorative curvilinear and floral carving to upper stage.

YOU DO WELL TO CHERISH THE EXAMPLE THEY SET, AND TO OFFER THE ONLY CONSOLATION TO/ THEIR RELATIVES AND FRIENDS, THAT THEY HAVE NOT GIVEN THEIR LIVES IN VAIN - THAT THE OBJECT FOR WHICH THEY FOUGHT HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED / (NAMES)
