Flag fan, the screen is painted on one side with Cupid trapping birds and on the other, Venus unveiled by a satyr (a mythical being). The composition is adapted from an engraving by Flemish printmaker, Raphael Sadeler who worked for a time in Venice where the carrying of flag fans was especially prevalent throughout the sixteenth century.
