The embossed border features roses, butterflies and the accoutrements of Cupid - flaming torches with quiver and bow. A hand-coloured inner border of stylised shapes in the style of an illuminated manuscript part surrounds a hand-coloured vignette of a young woman fishing for hearts on the banks of a stream, Cupid standing to her left. Printed verses below: " I have angled for a heart my love, / Full many a day and long, / And Cupid by my side, my love, / Has charmed me with his Song ...". The inside pages are blank. A partly abraded embossed stamp at lower left and lower right: G.
