Printed at DCA Print Studio, Dundee, as part of the Cove Park Portfolio of artist’s prints. The print is based on a photograph of a tree at the Glenfiddich Distillery. The evaporation of alcohol into the atmosphere encouraged fungal growth which was killing the tree. Borland was intrigued by the irony of alcohol being used to preserve anatomical specimens yet here causing decay and destruction. The photograph was mirrored in negative, the branches resembling human anatomical structures.
