This was the first public sculpture in West Swindon. The three figures represent the 'guardians of the new community'. The sculpture is one of Attwood's final works, he died before its completion, and the sculpture was finished by Pat Elmore. It was vandalised in 2019 and the head of the male figure was destroyed. The Art UK images show the sculpture before, and after the vandalism. The statue was fully restored by stonemason Toby Robson in 2020.
