A rural scene looking down on the rich countryside of Surrey. In the foreground, just past the ferns, a shepherd and his dog round up sheep. To the right there is hill at the edge of a thick forest that stretches from the middle ground all the way into the distance. The sky is a pale blue with a thin layer of cloud and the scene is bathed in warm orange light. In the bottom left-hand corner, a cluster of bluebells punctuate the greens, reds and oranges.
