The two blue figures at right are the goddess Kali, with typical iconography, seated on her consort Shiva, identified by the snake around his neck (it is more common, albeit comparable, for Kali to be shown standing on the prostrate Shiva). The figure at left is the five-headed form of Shiva known as Sadashiva, who may have up to 10 arms (also identified as Shiva by the blue throats, which is a feature peculiar to Shiva, one of whose names, Neelkanth, means ‘blue throat’).
