A huntsman is being attack in a field by two men coming towards him with raised brooms. One man is approaching from the lower right corner, the other from the middle of the image. The horse is rearing towards the right looking distressed. Another man stands in the middle ground with both arms outstretched to the side. He carries an umbrella in his right hand. A wooden gate and more riders are visible to the left in the middle-distance and at the horizon. Browne\'s initials are in the lower left corner.
