Devil's Bridge at Kirby Lonsdale; foreground, fencing, bushes, rocks and a river; middleground, a tree on a river bank and three traditional gypsy caravans, pulled by horses, cross a partly overgrown bridge with three high arches; background, trees by the river and distant hills. Sky only worked near the margins. Stone work of bridge is engraved with varied parallel lines. Drypoint used for landscape and to add detail. Paper has the watermark 'MILLBOURN BRITISH HAND MADE PURE RAG' followed by a motif of a castle gateway
