An italian garden scene depicting two women and a child sitting together. One of the women kneels beside the child, sitting upright in a woven cot; the child holds a spinning reel and reaches up to the second woman. The woman looks down to the child and in her left hand, also holds a spinning reel. The women are dressed in traditional clothing and sit within a garden of twisted ivy and trees. A terracotta pot is placed behind the child's cot and there is a stone building with arches to the far right. In the hazy background, the outline of mountains can just about be seen.
