A cross-legged military figure made of fine grained grey sandstone. He is posed with his right hand on the pommel of his sword and has a heater-shaped shield with a long surcoat. His head, his right elbow, lower legs and feet are missing. It is on a coffin-lid shaped slab, carved from the same stone and was intended to be horizontal originally. The style of dress and pose suggests a date of c.1275-1325.
