A small bird holding a seed in its beak. The carving uses the natural shape of the wood to suggest tail feathers and wings. The wood is splayed at the end and to a lesser extent on the underside of the carving. This splaying is natural and forms a part of the root used as a raw material for the carving. A repeated semi-circular motif suggests the bird’s feathers. The eyes are painted with black paint.
