A bronze bust on a high granite pedestal against which a bronze figure of 'Grief' is leaning. At the right side of the memorial, resting on both steps, is a still-life of attributes, including a mask of comedy, a lute, pan-pipes, a branch of laurel and an open score with some music from 'The Yeoman of the Guard'.
