An alabaster group showing the Hindu deity Shiva with his wife Parvati sitting on his bull Nandi. Attributes of Shiva represented include the trident in his upper right hand, drum in his lower left hand, crescent moon on his forehead, and snake around his head. Both figures and the cow are highly ornamented with jewellery, mostly gold with red and green dots. The male figure wears yellow trousers to his knees, and the female figure wears a red and dark blue sari with gold hem. The structure of the sculpture includes an arch and base both painted red with yellow decoration. Made in Rajasthan or Southern India.
