Shiva and Parvati are portrayed in a Southern Indian style. Shiva is sitting with his right leg forward, four-armed, with the goddess Parvati sitting on his left knee. The work has a rectangular base decorated with lotus petals. A hole at the back of the base holds a king cobra, which stretches up to shelter them both.
