A red sandstone Celtic cross with a three-stage shaft, ring cross head and pedestal base, and art nouveau detailing of tendril- foliage, entwining at the arms. The lowest stage is inscribed, and the cross head has a leaf motif and central boss. At the south west side of the cross is a shouldered pedestal with a bronze plaque with names, inscribed on the base. The north east side of the cross is blank. The memorial stands on the edge of the modern carriageway near the village.
